It's really hard to innovate in the world ofmodified muscle cars, and while you can get a great result if you opt for the right model and modifications, chances are somebody has already done it bigger and better. This 1963 Buick Riviera, however, is unique, as is its story.
Apparently, the car was custom made for the CEO of the Ronin Syndicate toy manufacturing business, Tony Diaz. He was looking for something menacing for his daily prowl, and the long and low stance of the Riviera, coupled with the special wheels, flat black paint and subtle details really get the job done.
The car was modified by Fesler, which left no part untouched. First off, the coupe model features an LS-1 Corvette engine, which is coupled to an automatic gearbox. Power and performance figures have not been released, but unless it has loads of it, chances are this will not be the best car to drive around a corner when you are in a hurry.
On the outside, aside from the striking body finish and 20-inch Fesler FS-903 deep-dish wheels, the car also gets custom vertical headlights, as well as modern-looking LED strips at the back, in place of the car's conventional rear lights – the car is clearly a modified vehicle, but it's not immediately obvious what has been done to it, which in our book makes it a successful and understated job.
Inside, the Riviera gets a completely revised interior, which bears little resemblance to the original car. There are new panels, dials and pedals, while the seats are also new, finished in leather and Alcantara. It also has air conditioning, power steering, electric windows, alarm and a powerful 3,000 W Kicker audio setup.

2014 Buick LaCrosse Features Mild Cosmetic Revisions and New Tech Goodies
type='html'>

On Monday morning, Buick whisked the covers off the refreshed 2014 LaCrosse sedan with new interior and exterior design cues as well as tech features, which we will see in the flesh at theNew York Auto Show this week before it goes on sale in North America in the summer.The exterior makeover begins at the front end with a larger and more prominent waterfall grille, new LED-equipped headlamps and a re-sculpted bumper, and continues with a fresh assortment of alloy wheel designs, plus revised LED wraparound tail lamps connected by a new "monobrow-style" chrome strip, and different exhaust finishers at the back.
Moving on inside, Buick's designers afforded the 2014 model a brand new instrument panel and a redesigned center console that does away with much of the clutter found in the outgoing 2013 LaCrosse.
There are also new seats, improved quality materials and an all-new, optionally available Ultra Luxury Interior Package that adorns the LaCrosse's interior with semi-aniline leather seats and trim, wood décor and synthetic suede on the headliner and door pillars.
On the technology front, the 2014 model gains Buick’s next-generation IntelliLink infotainment system with swipe-and-drag controls similar to Cadillac's CUE system, and new radar- and camera-based safety features, including Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Change Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Automatic Collision Preparation.
For the 2014MY, the LaCrosse is offered in front- and all-wheel-drive models with two gasoline powertrains: a 2.4-liter engine with eAssist or a 3.6-liter direct-injected V6, both linked to a six-speed automatic transmission.

To demonstrate the updated 2014 LaCrosse sedan's new safety features such as the Side Blind Zone Alert and Forward Collision Alert, Buick's creative department had to use a second vehicle, which as you would imagine, is another model from the brand's range.
Instead of placing another LaCrosse, though, Buick used a digital version of the 2014 Regal, as pointed out by Carscoops reader Chien-Jay.
And how can we be sure that the rear end of the Regal in the video and pictures seen here is indeed the facelifted model that will join the 2014 LaCrosse at Buick's New York Auto Show stand this week? Well, because it has the same redesigned tail lamps and chrome trim at the back as the 2014 Opel and Vauxhall Insignia prototypes spied in Europe.
Other changes we expect to see on the new model year Regal, and consequently, on its European Insignia sibling, are mild styling tweaks up front and the interior.
Hat-tip to Chien-Jay!

Buick Shows Facelifted 2014 Regal, GS Drops from 270HP to 259HP
type='html'>

The unveiling of the 2014 LaCrosse on Monday was followed today by the release of the first pictures and details of Buick's second world premiere for the New York International Auto Show, the 2014 Regal in both regular and GS trims.Perhaps the most interesting and at the same time, somewhat disappointing news for the Opel / Vauxhal Insignia's American counterpart, is the replacement of the outgoing Regal GS' 2.0-liter turbocharged unit that produces 270hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque (400Nm), with a new 2.0-liter force fed four-cylinder rated at 259hp and 295 lb-ft (400Nm).
On the bright side, the same 259hp engine is shared with the Regal Turbo, which in the 2013 model delivered 220hp. The 2.4L engine with eAssist light electrification technology that makes 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque continues for the 2014 model.
As before, six-speed automatic transmissions are matched with all engines, while the GS is offered with a six-speed manual as well. Electric power steering is now featured on all models. A new Haldex all-wheel-drive system that incorporates electronic limited-slip differential to help optimize traction in all driving conditions is optionally available on the Turbo and GS models with automatic transmission.
Buick's designers made some mild styling tweaks to the exterior of the sedan, including a revised grille, new headlights with LED daytime running lamps, restyled front and rear bumpers, and a new set of LED tail lamps together with a full-width chrome strip at the back.
Key interior changes concern the refreshed instrument panel and the redesigned center console with fewer buttons and a customizable 8-inch screen for the latest version of Buick's infotainment system.
For 2014, the Regal also introduces new radar- and camera-based safety features – including Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and Collision Mitigation Braking.

Buick’s redesigned 2013 Enclave luxury crossover is the brand’s best-selling model in the first quarter of this year, with retail sales almost 40 percent up. According to GM, many of the new model’s buyers are former owners of the previous-generation Enclave, with statistics showing that four in 10 owners trade-in their first-generation Enclave for the new model.
Buick says the Enclave is not only building loyalty for the brand, it is also attracting first-time Buick buyers. "In previous years we’ve talked about the new, younger, luxury-minded buyers coming to Buick for the first time," explains Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick Marketing. "With the redesigned Enclave, we’re still seeing those new buyers, but we’re now also seeing the buyers who gave us a try with the first Enclave stay with us."
According to the company, when the first-generation Enclave launched in 2007, customer surveys revealed that the main reasons for which buyers were choosing Buick were “value/price” and “familiarity with dealer”. However, Buick says Enclave owners consistently list things like “overall quality of the vehicle”, “ride comfort” and “overall exterior styling” as their top reasons for purchase.
According to DiSalle, “If you want a bellwether for the where the Buick brand is heading, look no further than the Enclave. It’s a very modern, very smart crossover that delivers what our luxury-minded customers want.”
Since the new model landed in dealerships in November, Enclave had its best retail sales month on record in December, with retail growth in January and February standing at 57 percent and 22 percent respectively.
