The 2012 CR-V won't be the only brand-new production model from Honda to make its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16th as the Japanese automaker announced that the 2013 Fit EV will also be displayed in final form.
Honda had presented a thinly disguised concept of the Fit EV exactly a year ago at the 2010 edition of the LA Show. The production variant of the pure-electric Fit will be closely modeled after last year's study and is expected to keep its lithium-ion battery and coaxial electric motor.
Last year, the Japanese automaker said that the Fit EV would be able to reach a top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h) and offer a driving range of up to miles (160 kilometers).
The company added that the battery can be recharged in less than 12 hours when using a conventional 120-volt outlet, and less than six hours when using a 240-volt outlet.
More details along with the official photos are expected to be released closer to the grand opening of the LA Auto Show.

Founded in 2002 by Toyota's North American division to appeal to Generation Y (born from the mid-1970s to the early-2000s) and young (or young-at-heart) consumers in general, Scion has reached its 10th birthday since it launched its first cars into the market, the boxy looking xA hatchback and xB wagon, in 2003.As would be the case with any other company selling products, Scion is celebrating its first decade in life with the launch of a limited edition series. In particular, the Japanese carmaker announced at the New York Auto Show that it will release a limited-production version of each vehicle in its lineup called the "Scion 10 Series".
Every Scion 10 Series car, which include the FR-S, tC, iQ, xB and xD models, will be painted a special premium color named "Silver Ignition", and will come equipped with LED-illuminated exterior badges that light up when the driver unlocks the car, silver seat belts, a solar-powered illuminated shift knob, a sequentially numbered interior badge and the Scion name illuminated on the dash before fading to reveal the number 10.
In addition, the special edition xB, iQ, and xD will feature unique alloy wheels in a graphite finish, while the Scion 10 Series FR-S will come fitted with HID headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps, dual automatic climate controls and a smart key with push-button start ignition as standard.
Scion said the unique anniversary models will number a total of 10,000 vehicles, with sales to begin in June.
