Facelifted 2014 Hyundai Centennial aka Equus Stars in New Videos

type='html'>
|

Hyundai has released a new trio of videos of its updated Centennial, which is just another name for the Equus luxury sedan that will make its U.S. debut in facelifted form at this month's New York Auto Show.
We'll have to wait for specific details for the North American model, but we suspect it will benefit from the same design and technological upgrades as the already available Korean version – also named Equus (the Centennial moniker is used in the Middle East).
In the styling department, the Korean luxury rear-wheel drive sedan gets a redesigned front grille and less chrome, while inside; there are new trim pieces, different buttons and switches, as well as a new shifter that is reminiscent of that found on BMWs.
Inspired by other big luxury cars, Hyundai has also rid the Equus of its analog gauge cluster, replacing it with an LCD unit. Many posh cars now feature similar setups, and since the Equus is more of an image-booster for the brand, they are keen to feature all of the latest and most eye-catching pieces of tech on their cars.
Other new features include a reworked adaptive cruise control, a HUD (head-up display), all-round view cameras, selectable driving modes, as well as Blind Spot Detection – a must nowadays.

Facelifted 2014 Nissan Micra / March Hatchback Puts on a New Face

type='html'>
|

This is the refreshed Nissan Micra, also known under the March nameplate in some countries, which was officially revealed in Thailand this week and will be rolled out in other markets around the world, including Europe, over the next few months.
The current fourth-generation Micra, now in its third year of production, features a mild cosmetic makeover that introduces a newly designed fascia with revised headlamps, a new grille and bumper assembly, along with a fresh choice of alloy wheels and hubcaps, a new rear bumper and LED-equipped tail lamps.
Interior revisions concern the new center console with square vents and different controls for the air-conditioning system, redone graphics on the instrument panel's Multi-Information Display and fresh colors and trims.
Nissan made no mention of any mechanical updates.

Facelifted 2014 Buick Regal Appears in LaCrosse Pictures and Video

type='html'>
|

To demonstrate the updated 2014 LaCrosse sedan's new safety features such as the Side Blind Zone Alert and Forward Collision Alert, Buick's creative department had to use a second vehicle, which as you would imagine, is another model from the brand's range.
Instead of placing another LaCrosse, though, Buick used a digital version of the 2014 Regal, as pointed out by Carscoops reader Chien-Jay.
And how can we be sure that the rear end of the Regal in the video and pictures seen here is indeed the facelifted model that will join the 2014 LaCrosse at Buick's New York Auto Show stand this week? Well, because it has the same redesigned tail lamps and chrome trim at the back as the 2014 Opel and Vauxhall Insignia prototypes spied in Europe.
Other changes we expect to see on the new model year Regal, and consequently, on its European Insignia sibling, are mild styling tweaks up front and the interior.
Hat-tip to Chien-Jay!

Buick Shows Facelifted 2014 Regal, GS Drops from 270HP to 259HP

type='html'>
|

The unveiling of the 2014 LaCrosse on Monday was followed today by the release of the first pictures and details of Buick's second world premiere for the New York International Auto Show, the 2014 Regal in both regular and GS trims.Perhaps the most interesting and at the same time, somewhat disappointing news for the Opel / Vauxhal Insignia's American counterpart, is the replacement of the outgoing Regal GS' 2.0-liter turbocharged unit that produces 270hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque (400Nm), with a new 2.0-liter force fed four-cylinder rated at 259hp and 295 lb-ft (400Nm).
On the bright side, the same 259hp engine is shared with the Regal Turbo, which in the 2013 model delivered 220hp. The 2.4L engine with eAssist light electrification technology that makes 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque continues for the 2014 model.
As before, six-speed automatic transmissions are matched with all engines, while the GS is offered with a six-speed manual as well. Electric power steering is now featured on all models. A new Haldex all-wheel-drive system that incorporates electronic limited-slip differential to help optimize traction in all driving conditions is optionally available on the Turbo and GS models with automatic transmission.
Buick's designers made some mild styling tweaks to the exterior of the sedan, including a revised grille, new headlights with LED daytime running lamps, restyled front and rear bumpers, and a new set of LED tail lamps together with a full-width chrome strip at the back.
Key interior changes concern the refreshed instrument panel and the redesigned center console with fewer buttons and a customizable 8-inch screen for the latest version of Buick's infotainment system.
For 2014, the Regal also introduces new radar- and camera-based safety features – including Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and Collision Mitigation Braking.

This is the Facelifted 2014 Scion tC Coupe, Inspired by the FR-S

type='html'>
|

The first images of the thinly refreshed 2014 Scion tC have just surfaced online, only moments before the Japanese company's schedule press conference and presentation at the New York International Auto Show.
For the new model year, the tC gains a different front end that adopts an FR-S-inspired look with redesigned headlamps, bumper and grille, while at the back, Scion placed new tail lamps with clear crystals and a newly styled bumper. And that wraps up the light exterior makeover.
For more information on the 2014 tC, we'll have to wait for the official release from Scion that will come out soon, so stay tuned for an update. In the meantime, you can see the differences between the outgoing 2013MY and the new 2014MY in the gallery below.
