Hot Opel Astra OPC with 276hp Storms the 2012 Geneva Motor Show

A six-speed transmission and a mechanical limited slip differential on the front axle drive the front wheels allowing for a top speed of 250km/h (155mph). Opel has not yet confirmed acceleration times.
As with the rest of the Astra GTC range, the OPC model gets the GM/Saab sourced HiPer Struts (High Performance Struts) on the front axle while the company's engineers also made changes to the suspension, steering wheel and brake systems.
“We have devised a great package that will convince even the most experienced sports drivers – not just on the Nürburgring,” says Opel tester and motorsport legend, Joachim Winkelhoc.
Styling upgrades on the outside include new sculpted front and rear bumpers, side skirts, a roof spoiler and two exhaust tail pipes in a trapeze shape plus a set of 20-inch forged alloy wheels.
As for the interior, the OPC benefits from a pair of body-hugging Recaro sports seats trimmed either in fabric or a choice of leathers, a flat-bottom sports steering wheel with a 360 millimeter diameter and bespoke trim accents.

The B3 GT3 limited edition isn't the only Alpina making its debut at this week's 2011 Tokyo Motor Show as the boutique automaker also brought along the coupe version of its B6 BiTurbo based on the latest BMW 650i.Alpina has taken BMW's 4.4-liter V8 turbo engine to the next level with a series of upgrades including an intercooled dual turbo system and the addition a new titanium exhaust system developed in conjunction with exhaust specialists Akrapovic, that all help to lift output to 540-horsepower at 5,500 rpm and peak torque to 700Nm (516 lb-ft).
A specially modified eight-speed sport automatic transmission from ZF transfers power to the rear wheels. Alpina says that the B6 BiTurbo Coupe goes from 0 to 00km/h in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
The B6 BiTurbo rides on a stiffer suspension while the German firm's engineers have re-calibrated the standard 650i's electronic aids.
The model displayed in Tokyo is dressed in a matte blue vinyl wrap while Alpina's subtle exterior makeover also includes a front spoiler with an integrated carbon fiber splitter, a rear diffuser and a rear wing made out of carbon fiber.
There is also a new set of double tailpipes with a slightly elliptical shape on either side of the rear bumper and 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
The same subtlety can be found inside with the bespoke instruments, two-tone blue and white leather upholstery and Alpina's three-spoke sports steering wheel.

One-Off Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra Heads to the Geneva Motor Show

type='html'>
|

While mainstream manufacturers build several hundred cars per hour, it takes small low production volume automakers like Sweden's Koenigsegg years to reach triple-digit figures. However, some ten years after they began customer deliveries, Koenigsegg has made its one-hundredth car.Not that each and every car that they make is not special, but they have paid extra special care and attention for number one hundred, a one-off example, based on their latest model, the Agera S.
Called the Agera S Hundra, the Swedish word for hundred, the right-hand drive car has been built for an unknown buyer, and it will most likely be the most spectacular car they've built so far. Details are currently scarce, but judging from the available photos and the official press release, the car will have a 'naked' carbon fiber finish, which will be complimented by "artisan hand laid and swirled, 24 carat gold leaf inlays, creating an intriguing mix of traditional and hi-tech craftsmanship."
Worth noting is the fact that the new Agera S, the firm's newest offering, is their first car to achieve its maximum horsepower output without using green bioethanol or race fuel. The S makes 1,030 hp using regular premium fuel, and a maximum torque figure of 1,100 Nm or 811 lb-ft.
Along with the car, which will make its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show, the firm has also released a new coffee table book about their history, called '0 to 100 in 10 years', where enthusiasts will find out interesting details about their history, such as the fact that the company was founded in 1994, but only managed to deliver their first customer car eight years later, in 2002.

First Live Look at the New McLaren P1 from the Geneva Motor Show

type='html'>

Officially, the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show won't be opening its doors for the press until Tuesday, March 5, but that doesn't mean you can't get in the Palexpo – Arena, as YouTube user and Carscoop reader Tim a.k.a.Shmee150 proves with these two videos he dropped into our email-box.Besides getting a quick look at Ferrari's stand that will host the world premiere of the Enzo-replacing hypercar, currently known under its internal codename F150, Tim also filmed the actual, production version of McLaren's 350km/h (218mph) P1 hybrid hypercar.
You can watch both videos right below the break, and don't forget to keep checking back on Carscoops for all the latest news coming out from the Geneva Auto Salon.

Does This Image Preview a Geneva Motor Show Debut, and if So, Which One?

type='html'>

When they're not out hunting for prototype cars with their cameras, the crew over at Chris Doane Automotive LLC occasionally use their free time to share cropped pictures of soon-to-be released new models.We think that's the case with this image that they just published on their social media channels, though, we can't be absolutely sure since there's no information accompanying the picture.
And if we were to make a wild guess to as which model could be pictured here, the tri-color stripes point to an Italian car, the vents to a mid-engine model, while the rear wheel arch cut is pure Bertone and Marcelo Gandini-style.
With that in mind and knowing that Lamborghini has officially confirmed the world premiere of a "homologated car" at the Geneva Motor Show, we're going to go with this answer.
So, what do you think?

Mean-Looking Audi RS5 DTM Makes Geneva Motor Show Debut

type='html'>
|

While the DTM (Deutsche Touring Masters) is largely unheard-of outside of Europe, the competition is still taken very seriously by Gemrany's "big three" premium automakers. Now, Audi has just revealed the DTM racing version oftheir RS5, the RS5 DTM, at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show.
The car has been built to race in the 2013 series of the DTM championship, which begins exactly two months from now, on May 5. However, since competition regulations did not allow them to make any drastic modifications to last year's car, Audi have merely improved and optimized the car.
No actual technical specifications have been released, but since no reported changes were made to the car, it's safe to assume that the 4.0-liter V8-engined cars still make around 500 hp.
Three teams (Abt Sportsline, Phoenix and Rosberg) will race a total of eight cars this year, and the first venue in the racing calendar is the Hockenheimring, followed by races in Austria, the UK, the Netherlands and the series' debut round in Moscow, Russia.
